On the same day, Her Majesty welcomed Sir Elio Somerset, the then Lord Henry Somerset and Lord Miann Somerset into the Royal Family.
Further changes to the Royal Family were announced on the 2nd of January 2023, as then Lord Henry Somerset was created Prince Royal and therefore second in line of succession to the throne, after HRH The Prince of Wales. Furthermore, the then Lord John Somerset was created a Prince of Great Britain. The new Princes will join Prince Victor, Prince James and Prince Matthew in helping Her Majesty fulfil her royal duties.

New round of elections, new Parliament, new GovernmentOn the 3rd of December 2022 Her Majesty, on the advice of then Prime Minister Matthew Somerset, dissolved Parliament and issued a Writ of Elections for seven Members of Parliament. On the same day, the Dissolution Honours were announced, honouring the most meritorious Citizens of the 21st Session.
Registration to stand for Parliament was open later that day, and after two days 10 registrations were received, all of them valid. Three parties participated in the elections (BFL, BRP, DUP), but only two had Prime Minister Candidates (the governing BRP and the newly formed BFL). Polls opened on the 6th of December and closed on the 7th. The governing BRP with its Leader then Henry Bowes-Lyon lost, granting a one-seat majority to the BFL with its Leader Cameron Romefeller. Both Leaders met with The Queen, the former to be appointed Leader of the Opposition and the latter to become Prime Minister-Designate. The Prime Minister-Designated had then to pass the Address in Reply in order to become Prime Minister, which he did successfully.
On the 17th of December the then Lord Henry Somerset resigned from his post as Leader of Opposition, being replaced by Sir Elio Somerset. Henry Somerset later resigned as an MP too, triggering a by-election, which was won by Charles Wright (BFL), who later replaced Sirch Somerset as Speaker of the House of Commons and secured a two-seat majority for the governing party.

1 | The Royal Navy was replaced by the British Armed Forces. The new armed forces are at the final stages of reorganisation.
