Concord of Friendship
And
The Republic of Europeia
Concord of Friendship
ACKNOWLEDGING the long and storied shared history and common partnership held between our Regions for many years prior;
WHEREAS Europeia and Kantrias have endeavored to develop democratic political systems rooted in equality, liberty and justice;
WHEREAS Europeia and Kantrias wish to reestablish and rebuild the relationship we once held;
NOW, THEREFORE, Europeia and Kantrias agree to the following:
1. Sovereignty
(a) Each Signatory shall respect the sovereignty of the other Signatory over their region; they shall not intervene in any way in the internal affairs of the other Signatory and shall abstain from any action likely to give rise to or assist in any agitation, propaganda, or attempted intervention aimed against any region belonging to the other Signatory or which has for its purpose the change in Government of the other Signatory without express permission by the other Signatory.
(b) Neither Signatory may cede sovereign control of their region to another entity.
2. Military Undertakings
(a) Neither Signatory may resort in any case either to war or to any act of aggression against the other, either alone, or in concert with one, or more than one, third Power, and to respect the regional integrity of the other Signatory.
(b) If a Signatory is the target of an act of war or of aggression on the part of one, or more than one, third Power, the other Signatory shall not give, either directly or indirectly, aid or assistance to the aggressor or aggressors for the duration of the present Treaty.
(c) The restrictions set out in Article 2 shall not in any way limit either Signatory from committing an act of war or of aggression against a third Power.
3. Security Council
(a) Neither Signatory may resort in any case either to write or support a Security Council Condemnation, Liberation, or repeal of a Commendation against the other Signatory either alone, or in concert with one, or more than one, third Power without the express approval of the other Signatory.
4. Diplomatic Undertakings
(a) Each Signatory shall maintain off-site embassies with one another, consistent with facilities provided to other regions engaged in diplomatic relations with the hosting region.
5. Intelligence Undertakings
(a) Neither Signatory may engage a person to act under false pretenses in the region of the other Signatory.
(b) Each Signatory shall provide any such information available to it to the other Signatory as may be pertinent to the security and well-being of the said Signatory, or otherwise upon the other Signatory’s request, unless the party in possession of said information believes that providing the information might violate applicable laws, contravene terms of service, or that revealing said information would unduly compromise the Signatory’s sources of information.
6. General Provisions
(a) This Treaty will come into force on the date of ratification by both the Republic of Europeia and Alliance of Kantrias as dictated by their respective governing procedures.
(b) Either Signatory reserve the right to exit this Treaty. In the event of such, the exiting Signatory must notify the other as soon as is possible.
(c) This agreement may be amended by mutual agreement of both Signatories.
